Pune, 18th Aug, 2015: Product Leaders Forum (PLF) a volunteer-driven non-profit initiative with a focus to build stronger product mind-sets and skill-sets in India, today announced its meet in Pune to encourage product innovation and nurture product leaders. As the technology eco-system looks to go up the value chain—be it the greater than ever appetite of start-ups, or MNCs going beyond being R&D centres to product and business centres; or service companies looking at newer revenue streams through platforms and products—it calls for a great role of product leadership to ride the transformation. The entire forum has been carefully designed around this core premise.
In a unique no-sponsor, no-keynote format the forum promises candid conversations with distinguished panellists, real-world insights, best-practices and actionable tips. It will witness prominent visionaries and renowned leaders like Anand Deshpande, Founder and CEO of Persistent Systems; Anshoo Gaur President & Head Amdocs India; Milind Borate, Co-founder & CTO, Druva; Gaurav Mehra Co-founder Saba, Saran Chatterjee, Ex-VP - Product Management, Flipkart; and about 20+ senior execs who will discuss on a spectrum of topics across product leadership, customer and value obsession, building products and platforms in services industry, product management in MNC and Indian companies, career path tips and best-practices; as well as focused workshops on speciality areas like gamification, productizing services, growth hacking.

Ashutosh Parasnis, MD QLogic India opines, “The world of products is not what it used to be. Rapid technology changes, economic and environmental challenges as well as the new age consumer behaviour in a connected world demand a completely different perspective in product development. Products, services and solutions are blending to create new business models. This requires companies to see things beyond the lenses of product releases and delivery and instead be driven with an eye to innovate and build meaningful products which customers love. An initiative like PLF in Pune comes at the right time in the midst of this change, and we fully support it to foster the right mind-set and skillset required for companies and individuals to make the transformation.”
The core partners of PLF Pune are Institute of Product Leadership (IPL), NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Service Companies), IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), SEAP (Software Exporters Association of Pune), TiE - Pune (The Indus Entrepreneur), Midas Touch, Pune PMI (Project Management Institute) chapter, Pune Open Coffee Club (POCC).
The forum will witness experts like Saran Chatterjee, ex-VP Product Management - Flipkart and Kartikeya Misra, VP Products Urban Ladder giving back to the community by nurturing next generation product managers; and likewise Suhas Kelkar, CTO - BMC will provide tips on CTO as a career path. Kiran Kashikar, Sr. Product Manager - CGI & Chair PLF and Seema Joshi DGM Innovation - Vodafone & Chair PLF-Pune, is closely involved in ensuring the forum is tailored perfectly to have the best panellists, best sessions and the best audience.
