Nokia opens Pre-booking for Lumia 925 in India

As per a recent update, the all new metallic bodied Windows 8 smartphone fromNokia, the Nokia Lumia 925 is available for pre-bookings on online stores. With aluminum frame around the 4.5 inch display Lumia 925 showcases the PureView camera innovation, new features and third party applications coming to the Nokia Lumia range. It captures low light images and clearer, sharper video thanks to the most advanced lens technology and next generation imaging software. The Nokia Lumia 925 features the Nokia Smart Camera app, offering an easy way to capture ten images at once and edit the pictures anytime afterwards with options like Best Shot and Action Shot.
A wireless charging cover, available separately in white, black, yellow, and red can be clipped onto the back of the phone to take advantage of Nokia's extensive wireless charging accessories and ecosystem.
An additional feature of this smartphone is the Nokia Glance Screen as beta version introducing the standby screen clock. Now, with a quick look and without pushing any buttons, owners can see the time or the battery level indicator on the screen when the phone is not used. A double tap on the standby screen now wakes the phone up, making it easier to unlock.
The Nokia Lumia 925 offers a variety of exclusive services such as Nokia Music for unlimited streaming of free music playlists. The suite of integrated location and navigation services include HEREDrive+ and HERE Maps.
Finnish handset maker Nokia today announced pre-bookings for its Lumia 925 on leading e-commerce sites such as Flipkart, Indiatimes and HomeShop 18. Flipkart is charging Rs 33,999 for the pre-order and said the expected release date in India is fourth week of August. The online retailer is also offering an EMI scheme of three and six months respectively and free Blaupunkt bluetooth headset with the device as part of the order.
Nokia had launched this latest smartphone in its Lumia series in London in May. The phone is available in Europe for around £400. The phone is lighter than the earlier model, and boasts of a screen that can be read in bright sunlight.
