A festive gift that will certainly delight the senses is a gift basket tailored to the recipient. You do not need a lot of supplies to start your first gift basket, in fact you may be able to create a basket with items that you already have at home, or at least make a good start. The first step is to have a theme, there are many ways to go, keeping in mind the occasion and who it is for. Setting the mood of your gift selections could be considered a sub-theme. Once all the elements are at hand it’s time to plan your basket look. Arrangement is important to give the effect of great abundance, carefully position everything in a bed of raffia and you will likely create a masterpiece that is a delight to the senses. All that’s left after the fun task of creating a cornucopia of excitement is a few finishing touches. Wrapping your basket in clear plastic is the usual way to go. This holds everything in place and helps protect freshness. Curly ribbon, bows and streamers are all nice ways to add to the excitement. Be sure to included a note card with your best wishes.
