If you have children, then you know that the teenage years are the most challenging. Some people think that taking care of a baby is more challenging because parents have to do a lot of things ranging from changing diapers to mixing formulas. However, the stress involved with teenagers makes those stains on the carpet and fussy outbursts during the night pale in comparison.
The teenage years is that time in your children’s lives where they think they know everything and they strive to rebel. You have to deal with non stop issues ranging from drinking to drugs during your children’s often troublesome teenage years. To make things worse, parents have to deal with more concerns these days. For instance, you have to deal with the concept of a credit card for teens in our modern day and age. This may sound utterly ridiculous to you, but plenty of teenagers actually have them.
What do you think of a credit card for teens? Do you think that your 15 year old daughter or son should have one? Let's just ponder at the possibilities here for a moment. Let just say that you deicide to get a credit card for teens for your teenage daughter. Now she can hit up the local malls and eateries whenever she pleases. How high do you think will she charge to that piece of plastic? I think that you’ll agree with me that your daughter will charge her credit card as high as it will go.
A lot of parents think that the mere concept of a credit card for teens is outrageous. They feel that it will not teach their children any responsibility whatsoever. It's not a prudent plan, unless you're going to have your child deal with the funds and bills of the credit card for teens.
My best buddy from high school always had his parent's credit card. They apparently let him carry it in case of emergencies. However, I think that they made a mistake because he used the thing like crazy. He slapped everything he wanted to eat or drink on the card. I can’t imagine what a teenage girl would have done. She would probably make countless trips to the local shopping malls.

The notion of a credit card for teens is scary. In my opinion, it would be unwise to let your child be caught up in debt at such a young age.
