Bathrooms Are On the Increase

In today’s housing market you can never build too many bathrooms. As the homes have grown larger, the number of bathrooms in the homes has multiplied as well. Gone are the days when there were just two bathrooms – one for the family to use every day, and a special one just for the guests. Today there is often a bathroom for every room in the house, plus maybe one extra just for good measure.
Not only have bathrooms multiplied in number, they have grown in size. The guest bathroom use to have a stand-up shower, a small sink, and a toilet. Today’s guest bathroom – which is often the smallest room in the house – is as big as a bedroom of old. Now there is storage, a garden tub, a separate shower, and multiple sinks. Treating your guests this well will ensure that they never go home.
Bathrooms have also increased in features. There are Jacuzzis, steam showers, separate dressing areas and closed off toilets. The showers have special heads for a rain feel (where the head is designed to allow the water to “fall” from the ceiling), or multiple heads so that the user is hit from every direction. The style that you go with your bathroom is only limited by your imagination (and maybe your checkbook).
As the housing market continues to tighten, sellers will be looking for ways to draw the buyers’ attention. Great bathrooms in a home, and lots of them, are closing many properties today. Experts predict that this trend towards high end bathrooms will not only continue but that it will expand.
Bathrooms have always been an important feature of any home. They are, were, and will continue to be one of the most used rooms in the house. Today’s bathrooms are more than just a place that is to be used. Bathrooms are being created to provide an experience for the user beyond the ordinary conveniences.
