For more than 50 years now, Jeep has been stamping its class on the all-terrain scene. Not surprisingly, Jeep's lineup was formed to conquer even the harshest, most extreme road surfaces and environment. Hence, well-known people (sportsmen, statesmen, and adventurers among others) have chosen the Jeep as their personal transporter. Although the origin of “Jeep” remains trivial, it remains as the most trusted SUV manufacturer in any side of the world.

One of the 'secrets' behind the Jeep's iconic status in the SUV world lies under its hood. Jeep's popularity and reliability, in fact, depend heavily on the wide-range of intricately designed Jeep Engines. Jeep Engines is known to take severe punishment but could still excel on the tough road.

How does the Jeep engine work? Inside Jeep Engines, fuel combustion takes place. Some of basic Jeep engine parts include spark plugs, valves, pistons, and crankshafts. The spark plug produces the spark that ignites the air/fuel mixture to enable combustion. There are two primary kinds of valves – the intake and exhaust valves. Intake valves let both the air and fuel in, while the exhaust valves put waste gases away. To avoid leakage in the combustion chamber, the valves are sealed.

Another important part of Jeep Engines is the piston, a piece of metal that goes up and down inside the cylinder. A connecting rod links the piston to the crankshaft. The crankshaft, on the other hand, turns the pistons up and down motion into circular motion. It contains some amount of oil, which collects in the bottom of the pump.

Despite Jeep's already formidable engine power, aficionados demanded for more. Jeep's answer? The avenger supercharger designed to increase Jeep's power output and torque. An enhanced power output can only mean easier climbs and impeccable command of even the roughest surfaces. Because of this, Jeep enthusiasts can no longer ask for more.
