As an affiliate you must run a contest or survey on your site in order to increase the excitement on your site. Run a contest every week or a month and post the results on your website or blog or you can email them as a broadcast. The good thing about this technique of getting free traffic is that it builds trust. Since Internet business is very impersonal things like contest or survey makes it look like personal.
Ask questions and opinions to your visitors. People want to be heard, they always want to be seen as important part of the community (if you didn't know, this is the reason why Myspace is so suceessful). Making them participate in your business will increase the bond with them and of course they will increase your traffic stats.
