1. How Users Read On The Web

People come to the web to search information they need. After, loading to the new webpage, people began to scan this web page. People did not read the web page word by word but they prefer to skim it.

People scan text and pick out keywords, sentences, and paragraphs of interest before to read all the text to discover if this content is related for what they search.

2. How To Write For The Web?

There are four main points to take in consideration to write correctly for the web:

Short text,
Scannable,
Hyperlink structure.
Inverted Pyramid
Straight to the point
A- Short Text:

People don't want to read a lot of text from computer screens and for that reason it's better to keep your web pages short.

B- Scannable:

To write for scannibility: Structure your articles with more than two levels of headlines, Use meangful rather than "cute" headings, Use highlighting and emphasis to make important words catch user's eye.

C- Hypertext Structure:

Your website structure plays a huge impact to build credibility and to help your visitors to understand your content.

Build web page with short text and use hypertext links to other web page is the most strategy to let your web site content more usable and useful for visitors.

Make your webpage with focus information and each one focus on a specific topic can help you to:

Human users can learn and pick out what they need,

Search engine optimization for your webpage will easy and it will rank well for specific keywords and keywords phrases.

Make text short without sacrificing depth of content by splitting the information up into multiple nodes connected by hypertext links.

Long and detailed information can be relegated to secondary pages.

D- Inverted Pyramid

Webpage should be written according to the "invert pyramid" principle and start with a short conclusion so that users can get the gist of the page even if they don't read all of it.

Write table contents of your web page to let your visitors to select their focus information they need. Sometimes, users need to go directly to specific information.
