Turning Grocery Coupons into Income

By: Lucy | Posted: 30th August 2007

I believe everybody has one time or another use a Grocery coupon. If not, it is time for you to start.

A Smart Shopper would try to stretch the value of the grocery money as much as possible. One way to do so is the use of Grocery Coupons for Smart Shopping.

Grocery coupons is also one of the ways which merchants use to attract customers. It is a win-win situation for both parties.

Fifty-cents off on a pack of biscuits and a dollar off on a bottle of cleaning detergent can add up to a lot of savings in a month. One may save as much as $80 to $100, or even more, if one is smart enough to take advantage of the countless coupons available.

Imagine how much more items one can get with that extra $80 or $100 per month, or how the extra money can help to pay off other household expenses.

Grocery coupons are largely available both online and offline.

It has become a BIG Business Opportunity on the Internet.

Online coupons are available on the Internet for printing. They may be free or made available through a subscription-based program. All that a smart shopper needs to do is print out those coupons that are valid for the place that she lives in, or travel to, and she is on her way to making Extra Income with the coupons.

Subscription-based coupons may put some people off as a monthly fee is needed. However, imagine this: if one can save more than a few hundred of dollars a month by just paying a nominal fee, would you agree that it is worth it?

What if there are other benefits to be gained from the program?

For example, if through the program, there is a privilege of having a 50% discount for Hotel booking, can this member share the benefit with a friend who works in the Tourist industry? Or share it with a Freelance Tour Agent who does frequent Hotel bookings? Both parties can then strike out a profit-sharing business deal. This is where a smart member would exercise her discretion.

As for free coupons, although they are widely available in the Internet, do realise that what is FREE to the customers is exactly a COST to the merchants. So, there are limited choices available as compared to subscription-based program. Choices may be limited by the products or the locations the coupons are valid for. Benefits may also be limited. Whereas in the case of coupons from a subscription-based program, the merchants have more incentive in giving out more value-add coupons and benefits.

Offline coupons are available in newspapers, magazines or newsletters. They may be distributed at supermarkets or at shopping malls too, where they can be used immediately. Smart customers would definitely welcome that.

Shop Smart and you can even have an Extra stream of Income!

This can be an online homebase business opportunity in itself.
