Save Money on Your Home Phone

Remember the days of paying $.15 per minute or more for long distance service from your local telephone company? Well, those days are gone thankfully, and you have many choices if you're searching your budget for places to save money.

Many households have dropped their home phone service all together in the past few years. With the increased coverage and service of cell phones, nearly every household has one. If you can get buy without a home phone, you'll likely see at least $300 - $1,000 per year in savings!

Another option may be to check out a service like Vonage. Vonage requires high-speed internet service, which many homes subscribe to already. The 2 main plans are $15 per month for 500 minutes (local and long distance), or $25 per month for unlimited calling (local and long distance).

My wife and I have used Vonage for a few years and are happy with the service. If you're interested in Vonage, send me an email and you'll receive your first month for free!

You can also check out Skype, which is similar to Vonage, but a little more high-tech. About the Author
