Making your own lunch
This is a great way to save those extra dollars and can be quite tasty as well. If you have a microwave available then you can make

a hot dish at home like pasta sauce and noodles. Then you can freeze this in bulk and bring it to work and microwave it. This is

very tasty and also quite cheap. Be creative with your cooking and you will surprise yourself. There are plenty of recipies online

for your use.

Swap one of your takeout coffees during the day to an inhouse cup of tea, take a stroll around the block while the kettle is boiling

to get a break from the work environment also.

When clothing gets a hole in it, instead of chucking it away, sew it up! Or if it is worn out beyond repair save it for use as a

rag, these always tend to come in handy.

Consider the way you get to work. Public transport can allow for some significant cost savings over using a car. When using a car,

you must account for fuel, wear and tear, servicing cost, toll road and congestion charges, parking fees, fines and accidents that

occur. When you factor all these costs in the train, buses, ferries and trams start to look like an attractive option. There is also

a high environmental benefit to using public transport over a car.
