How to find a web designer

By Clare Lawrence 19th August 2004

If you're looking for a web designer, then here's some hints and advice.

Which sites have the best ranking in your field? Pick the top 10 and send them an e-mail asking who they use?

If a site has a good ranking, it's likely to have been written by a designer who knows how to create search engines friendly sites.

Ask your prospective designer for a list of his top 3 most successful sites. How do they rank. What's there look and feel.

Price - cheap isn't always the best. If you're on a budget try a template site. These can be of good quality and can cost from only $20.00

If a web designer tells you he is too busy to meet your deadline, then this is a good sign. Change your deadline.

Better to have a long-term successful site than produce a prompt flop.

I wish you success.
