Top 5 Steps for Planning a Wedding
By: Jhong Ren | Posted: 04th February 2008
Before your big day, besides all the arrangements and running around that you will be doing, here are the top 5 steps for planning a wedding. It is recommended that most arrangements are made well in advance.
The budget as well as the date and location have to be sorted first as this is by far the most important preparations to make. What follows are the guests, caterer and photographer. When you are all set with the above, the florist, disc jockey, bride’s dress, bridesmaids’ dresses, and color and theme should be looked at.
The second step would be looking for the attire for the groom as well as groomsmen. Choosing a design for your invitations, honeymoon, wedding cake, bridal shower and the all time favorite, the purchasing of rings.
The third step would take place roughly around 2 to 4 months before your wedding. This would be finishing off the wedding invitations and mailing them, planning for the rehearsal as well as getting a marriage license. The final dress fittings and the appointment for the hairstylist as well as the makeup artist should be made about now. When it gets to a month before your wedding, you should get the wedding cake on order and have that bridal shower that we all do enjoy.
Two weeks before the wedding day, the authorities should be contacted, to discuss the change of your last name. The seating arrangements at the wedding reception should be organized as well as the seating cards design.
And ending off the top 5 steps for planning a wedding is confirmation; confirmation of the caterer, the photographer, florist, disc jockey, confirm appointments at your hairstylist and the makeup artist. Be sure to go over the details with your coordinator and a little reminder for yourself to send thank you notes after your wedding.
