If you are like most people who own a website, you want an easy to
understand and affordable way to promote it. It might be a website you
created, or one you had created for you, or you might be an affiliate
wanting to "drive traffic to your website".

Maybe you tried a few things (maybe even spent some money - or a lot of
money) but things are still not working the way you thought they would,
and you need something to start working now.

If this sounds like you, please continue reading this article.

Why? because you are about to discover the amazing world of ezines, and
how ezines can quickly become the solution to your website
promotion problems.

Let's be honest, no one is born with the knowledge of how to get real
traffic to their website. Only time and experience can teach you these
valuable skills.

In addition, the language of the Internet can be downright confusing.
For instance, how many people in the real world know what an
"autoresponder" is? But did you know you can't thrive online without
one?

Well, ezines are the exact same way. Chances are you never heard the
word "ezine" before you came online, and like most people, you
probably don't even know how it's pronounced. (it's pronounced like
magazine - e--zine)

Okay. So, what exactly are ezines?

An ezine is an Electronic Magazine which is delivered to people who
request it (also known as subscribers) via email. The word ezine
(sometimes spelled e-zine) comes from combining the E in electronic and
the zine in magazine.

Ezines are also called newsletters. There is no difference, they are
one-in-the-same.

Ezines are published on a variety of schedules, including daily,
weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and occasionally, or when the publisher
feels like it and has something meaningful to say.

As a rule, ezines are generally delivered via email, but some are in
the form of blogs, and some are on web pages. In almost all cases, the
subscriber of the ezine receives an email either containing the ezine
or a notice that the ezine has been posted, along with a link to access
the ezine.

Ezines are sent only to subscribers who request the ezine. This process
is known as opt-in or verified opt-in. Ezines have nothing to do with
spam or unsolicited email! Subscribers want to receive ezines and
respond to the ads placed in the ezines they receive!

The reason that ezines work so well is that they are delivered to a
very targeted group of readers.

These readers have expressed an interest in a particular subject and
asked to hear more about that subject.

Now here's where it really gets exciting! When your ad gets in front of
thousands of highly motivated and interested readers, amazing things
begin to happen for you very quickly.

When you match your offer to an ezine that reaches your target market,
you have tapped into an absolute goldmine of highly qualified leads
that are eager to know more about your offer, and that is the key to
succeeding with ezines.
