Marketing Your Home Based Business In Birmingham, Alabama

Discovering how to market your home based business or a store front business locally can be fun and inexpensive.
I joined a local network group of business owners and we got creative on how to market our businesses by having fun and keeping our expenses low. We made a decision to sponsor a summer coloring contest for children in our community between ages 4 and 12.
Each business owner created a coloring page that represented his or her business. One of the members has a sign shop and another has a printing business. We chose clipart from the sign shop and the owner designed the page and shipped it over to the printer where the pages were printed and made into a coloring book.
The network group distributed these books through the community to parents and businesses to give to children. At the end of the contest, each page will be judged. There will be one winner per page and each winner’s coloring will be judged for the top three. Each page will win a monetary gift as well as the top three. The school teachers of the top winners will also be awarded a monetary gift for school supplies.
The top three winners, teachers and business owners will have their photos taken for the local newspaper along with the business name and information. How many local people will be exposed to these businesses!!
As a work from home business owner, my company’s name and phone number will be advertised to each family that entered the contest. The coloring page will probably go on mom’s refrigerator door blasting my business information daily!!
