The Lowdown on WorldPerks Visa

While users may be spoilt for choice with the various credit card options available, avid travelers should go for one that rewards them for what they do best. Thus, if you are a frequent flyer seeking for a credit card, then the WorldPerks Visa Platinum Card may just be the right choice for you.
Issued by U.S. Bank, the WorldPerks Visa Card rewards cardholders with redeemable free tickets just by flying with Northwest Airlines, which is their affiliate partner. Users are awarded an airline mile for ever dollar spent on card charges, with up to 5 miles for every dollar charged at selected hotels and restaurants.
Additionally, they are also entitled to an extra 55 miles when the $55 annual fees are paid. In fact, those who apply for the card will be pleasantly surprised with the 7500 bonus miles credited to their account upon application approval. The mileage collected from the card can then be used to redeem free travel tickets with the airline, as long as there are seats available.
There is some downside in the form of restrictions on the number of miles that can be collected within a billing cycle. Nevertheless, opting for automatic bill payment will exempt the WorldPerks Visa Card user from these restrictions.
Another reason to automate bill payments is the fact that APR for purchases are relatively high since as they are tied to the Prime Rate. Additionally, the APR for cash advances is variable with a minimum cap on the rate, even if the Prime Rate falls. Therefore, with automated payments, outstanding balances are paid off almost immediately, thus releasing the WorldPerks Visa Card user from the potential of high interest charges.
The current credit limit for this card stands at $7500, with a penalty of $35 if the limit ie exceeded. On the flip side, just for $55 annually, cardholders are entitled to a travel accident insurance of $250,000. Finally, other insurance benefits of the card include coverage for car rentals, online access of accounts and protection against unauthorized purchases made to the card.
