It seems we live in an increasingly dangerous world, a world that is serviced by a police force that is ever more ineffective and a legal system that seems to favour the criminal more and more. If you reside within a major urban area, chances are there are places within your city that are just not safe. In order to ensure your own protection in such areas, you could consider carrying some form of less lethal weapons, to be used in the event of a physical attack upon your person. An increasingly popular type of less lethal weapons is the taser self defence using one of these is often deemed far less serious in the eyes of the law than using a more conventional weapon.
If you do decide to carry one of the less lethal weapons upon you, then you need to remember why you are carrying it. If you carry a taser self defence is the only reason it should be used, inappropriate use of even less lethal weapons can see the user facing very serious legal problems, possibly including imprisonment. Although the law is often quite forgiving when it comes to using less lethal weapons for self defence, it should be noted that the use of any weapon can result in the victim of the weapon taking legal action upon the user.
By carrying a taser self defence becomes non-lethal, a taser works by emitting a high voltage electric charge which will temporarily incapacitate the target, as a less lethal weapon a taser makes a great choice for pure self defence purposes, the target will be unable to continue which their actions for a brief period of time, allowing the victim of their attack to make goof their escape.
If you carry a taser self defence becomes extremely discreet, a taser can be disguised as a cell phone, an MP3 player or some other form of harmless looking device, meaning you can carry it openly without alerting any potential attackers to the fact that you are in position of a less lethal weapon which will be used for your self defence. Some types of taser are extremely small and can easily be concealed in the palm of the hand, meaning they can be carried ready for use should you feel yourself threatened but are unable to ascertain just where and when a possible attack will be coming from.
If you are concerned for your safety by carrying a taser self defence becomes an integral part of your usual pocket contents, pop it in alongside your phone and wallet, secure in the knowledge that you are carrying all of the protection you need.
Please check your local legal situation when considering acquiring any item to use for self defence purposes, less lethal weapons included. Depending upon your location the legality of taser self defence may vary.
