Ouarzazate in Morocco, The Door of the Desert

When you are looking for a fun place to go, there is one city that fits that bill pretty good, and that is Ouarzazate. This is a town that is also sometimes called, the door of the desert. The name of the town itself comes from the Berber phrase meaning, "without noise," and it's for this reason why a lot of people travel here. This is one travel spot in Morocco that is popular for having a lot of down time, and being without confusion. Another reason why people travel here is because of the Atlas Mountains that are nearby, as well as the Draa Valley.
The main reason why people travel to Ouarzazate is to see the Atlas Studios. This is a movie studio that has done a number of great movies. The movie studio is located in this town, because it's quiet and peaceful. Although there are a lot of people that travel here to see the studio, there is less confusion than there is in a major city. People like to come to this area to see a the sight that a number of great films were shot in, like Gladiator, Celopatra, and The Man Who Would Be King. However, this movie was also the spot that helped shoot some of the episodes of the Amazing Race 10, which came out back in 2006. People love television, and it's great to be able to see the site that a lot of these movies were made in.
When people are going to be going through the valley of the Draa river into the Sahara, a lot of these excursions start in this town. In fact, this includes trips that go to Zagora, which is an oasis town that is surrounded by tons of palm tree plantations. As you can see, this is a very important part of Morocco, and as it gets talked about more and more, people keep coming by the tons. This is one spot in Morocco that you are not going to want to miss.
If you are looking to show your family a little bit of Morocco, that they have more than likely never seen, then you are going to want to go to this area. It's neat to be able to see where the award winning movie Gladiator was made. The next time you plan to take a trip down to Morocco, try an up and coming area that is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and cool things that you will ever see. This is one area of Morocco that you are sure never to forget. I think people like coming here, because there is something for everyone to do here. It's not just a spot for families or lovers, it's a spot that everyone likes to visit. There is so much sight seeing to look for in this place that you are going to want to visit it time and time again to make sure that you saw everything, and your family is not going to have a problem with that.
