Choosing the ideal car insurance companies for your circumstances can be a bear. As with most popular topics, it is often hard to wade through the multitude of outdated "quote comparison" websites to find the best company. Well, after spending much time weeding through the mess, I am happy to report to you the top 3 resources for top car insurance companies quotes. Bear in mind this is just my own opinion, but others are sure to agree.
1. Progressive.com
Progressive advertises a resource to show you how their rates compare with others. There seems to be more advertising for Progressive than all other car insurance companies. A week or so ago, I finally decided to check out their instant service. Although other people have found this site helpful, it was down when I attempted and all I got back were their quotes. With that being said, it was a simple interface I was able to complete in no time.
2. Insure.com
Insure is a popular site that gives rates for all sorts of insurance. They also have areas for life, businss, travel, etc. One check I always do on sites like this is whether they recognize my zip code. My zip code was added about 4 years ago, so it is quite surprising how many sites still say it is invalid. Sadly, Insure was one of those sites. Even though it really gets to me when they don't have my zip code, this is still a site you should use when you shop for car insurance.
3. CarInsurance.com
This final site I reviewed has the cleanest interface of all. And get this. They actually included my new North Carolina zip code! You should realize that apparently they don't perform these car insurance companies comparisons themselves. After entering my initial info, I was taken to a screen to choose from other companies serving my area. I selected NetQuote.com to perform my research.
You should realize that these sites comparing car insurance companies have their own agenda to make money ahead of their desire to save you money. Shop around even among the above and other sites to receive the best deal.
