Fun in Hawaii
By: Jeff OReilly | Posted: 24th October 2006
Hawaii is one of my favorite places to go when I need time off work to relax or just even get away from the winter cold. There are so many things to do here, that when ever I come over here I can never find time to do everything I wish. All I can say is that it’s a great place to bring the whole family, its something that everyone will enjoy. Maui is probably one of the island I would prefer the most, it’s one of the most beautiful islands in Hawaii. The back of the island is full of plantations which consist of pineapples, sugar canes, and of’ course macadamia nuts. I do have to recommend going on the Maui downhill ride, which starts of at Haleakala: Maui’s Highest Volcano. A bus picks you up around 4:30 in the morning and drives you to the very top of the Volcano, where you can see everything; especially the amazing sunset. Its something so breath taking, that you’ll want all of your loved ones to be there with you; I know I could of wished that. But the downhill ride is 36 miles long downhill and usually takes most of the morning to travel from the top of the volcano to the bottom of the beach where the ride ends. If taking a bicycle ride isn’t for you then you could also try going to one of the most well known shows in Maui called Ulalena. It is a show that portrays Hawaii’s mythology. Through dancing and singing Ulalena is born; the story of how Hawaii was created is told. It is an outstanding show created to bring people of all cultures together and exposing them to life and beauty. Last but not least, are of’ course the beach activities! You can choose to go parasailing, water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, basically anything you can think of. So why waste time sitting around doing nothing, come to Hawaii and start creating memories.
