The Indianapolis Colts Vs The New Orleans Saints

This is what everyone is hoping to see this year in the Super Bowl. The two teams both had extraordinary seasons this year and at times have looked to be each others only true competition. Peyton Manning has always been the quarterback to beat in the NFL nobody could ever challenge him in terms of accuracy. Now all of a sudden Drew Brees has stepped out of nowhere and finally claimed his spot as one of the NFL's premier quarterbacks.

If this is the Super Bowl that we end up seeing I know that it will be a great game and very competitive. I would say that it would be more of an offensive game then a defensive one. It is not unlikely that a shootout between the two quarterbacks will take place. As far as the defense goes the Colts have the clear advantage in my opinion. I would love to see this game for one reason particularly, and that's because these are my two favorite games in the NFL.

The Saints have the edge in terms of the run game. Reggie Bush and company will have their work cut out for them though against the Colts tough defense. If either team gets a reasonable lead on the other it will be fairly hard for the other to mount a come back.

At the end of the day the one major advantage that the Colts have over the Saints is experience, which can count for a whole lot in the Super Bowl where tension is high and a teams composure in clutch situations can either win them a championship or send them home until the next year. The Colts won the Super Bowl in 2007 and have been on of the NFL's most dominant teams for at least the last five years. The Saints on the other hand have never won a Super Bowl in NFL history and they have just recently began to play as a high caliber team.

So with all of these factors taken into consideration who would win if the Saints and the Colts were to go head to head this season in the Super Bowl? Who knows? Your guess is as good as mines.. We can only hope that we will have the opportunity to see for ourselves...
