You have probably heard many theories about how you can make positive changes in your life. It usually reads like this: 1) change your external reality and you will be a match to new and different experiences or 2) create change from within and then your external environment will catch up with the new you. But which one is true? BOTH. We cannot separate the two from each other. Nothing is separate in this universe, and nothing exists without its complete opposite. Everything feeds into each other. By doing the inner work, it will reinforce your desire and need to change your outer surroundings. In the same way, changing your external environment will inspire and propel you to think, feel, and act differently.

The difference is whether you can maintain this new reality or start re-living your old life in your new environment, creating more of the same as before. This is what happens when people try to change their environment, thinking that the problems they are experiencing will go away, only to discover that the old problems will reappear in the new environment. This is where understanding yourself, your needs, and your true desires comes into play.

Do you know your 'WHYs'? Why do you do what you do (what motivates you in your life)? Why do you like one but not another? Why do you think, feel, and act the way you do? What is behind all of your 'WHYs? This is a crucial step, and many of us miss these important (and sometimes life-changing) questions.

Once you know your 'WHYs', you can start consciously creating change in your life. Imagination is crucial here, as thinking and feeling differently is not enough. You have to be able to believe and envision the NEW. You have to be able to go beyond what is currently seen or experienced in your direct environment or through your senses.

I never really liked the 'fake it till you make it' concept, even though there is some truth in it. The negative association probably comes from the world 'fake', which implies that you have to put on a persona or quality that you don't inherently possess. This is not the case. If you understand the law of oneness, you know that you are part of everything and everything is a part of you. You only need to remember and bring forth those emotions, feelings, and thoughts that are already yours. You just haven't practised them for so long that you have forgotten that these are also part of you. You only need to remember to own these forgotten parts of yourself.

We all choose to focus on some aspects more than others, depending on our inner motives. In order to fulfil our true desire and purpose in life, we need to follow our joy and recognise that our external environment is a reflection of our inner world, and our inner world also influences our external reality. It's all interconnected - inner as well as outer. both shape our life experiences here in the physical.
