The key to adding size to your butt with this exercise is to use moderate-to-heavy weights for 6-to-8 reps for 5 sets (light weight won't help!)
Also... Push from your heels and come down as deep as you can and if your heels are coming off the floor - try stretching your calves and hip flexors to increase your range of motion.
Please Note: You may not be able to come all the way down at first but you will be able to get down deeper to work your butt muscles (your glutes) more as you gain more flexibility and strength doing this exercise
