5 Easy Ways to increase your Gas Mileage
1.) Change your oil often. (this reduces engine drag which will allow your vehicle to maintain speed while using less gas)
2.) Make sure your tires are filled the correct amount of air (your not on a race course, you don't need to be a 19 psi to get the grip required for driving)
3.) If fuel economy is catamite and your are in the market for new tires, purchase a set with a low required rolling energy.
4.) If you don't need the AC don't' use it. It saps power from the engine which means that you have to use more gas to power the AC and maintain your speed.
5.) Lastly, this may or may not apply to you depending on the vehicle that you drive. Never the less, this does work in many vehicles. Turn off the Traction Control System. In the average vehicle the traction control system doesn't act like the TCS in a Ferrari or Aston Martin. The TCS of normal cars tend to constantly limit the power the power from the engine. If you turn off the traction control off this limitation is turn off which will allow you to drive at the same speed and accelerate at the same velocity while using less gas.
