The Comcast Billing Ripoff.
This is Brian Nelson.
By the way, my voice is recovering from a medical Vocal Folds procedure.
I will read this and scroll it so you can hopefully understand me.
Yesterday I got my monthly invoice from Comcast for my phone, internet connection and cable tv.
I noticed that it was larger than
previous months by $25.
I checked the statement and found a $24.95 fee under the word One time charges and credits.
I looked on the back and found that this was for a Customer trouble call.
Yes. My system had crashed.
I had a defect somewhere in it.
The first Comcast repair man could not find it.
Finally after another week they sent another repairman out who found that I had a bad Comcast modem.
He replaced it.
Then everything worked fine.
When I called Comcast, I told them I didnt want to pay any $ 24.95 for a trouble shooting call.
She looked up my file and told me that they had replaced the Comcast modem.
I said I didnt want to pay for changing out the Comcast modem.
She said Oh, I will take the $24.95 off.
I asked why they put it on there in the first place?
She said We dont put it on there.
The computer automatically does that.
I stated that to put it automatically on is unethical and illegal.
She said that there was nothing she could do about it.
She took off the $24.95 charge.
I paid the regular monthly amount.
Please check your Comcast bills.
How many thousands of customers get billed for what they dont owe?
They just pay it instead of calling in and questioning it?
Probably thousands.
That is bad.
There should be laws against them charging for something that is not accurate.
They collect money from all those that dont
notice it or call about the error.

Guess who called me today?
Mark Casen at the Corporate Office of Comcast. Tel 215-286--8966. He noticed my video on http://www.Youtube.com . He aplogized for me getting charged and having to call to have it removed. He plans to send the video to his superiors. He will investigate and see how that computer billing occured. I thanked him for calling and looking into the matter but I had already been given the proper credit. I told him that that type of business behavior should never be allowed to occur. He said he would get back to me. I will let you know if anything happens. Maybe my Comcast service may just stop working. If that happens I will let you know that also. Brian Nelson Houston
