A Tribute to the Life of Sherry Dimarsky

Bookmark and Share
Directed by: The Dimarsky children and Elisheva Vladimirskiy
Produced by: Alise Dobkin

Explanation of the song: The song we chose is from bentching (Grace After Meals). The words mean: "And please, Lord our G-d, do not let us depend on the gifts of flesh and blood, nor upon a loan from a human being, but rather on a Your full, open, holy and generous hand, so that we should never feel embarrased or ashamed, forever and ever."

This part of the bentching was always particularly meaningful to Sherry, as she was developing her betachon (trust in G-d) and internalizing the concepts that Hashem alone is her source of health, parnasa, and everything good. Her children shared that in the later years this section of the benching became even more intense, since she was storming the Heavens to not need a gift of "flesh and blood" - a transplant.

We hope that you find this video meaningful and inspirational. Most importantly, we hope that you actually follow in Sherry's footsteps and find a project that uses your strengths to help the world.
