Death Rally PC Game

Death Rally is top-down perspective racing video that was released in 1996, developed by Remedy, published by Apogee and distributed by GT Interactive.

The game starts you with a little clunker car called the Vagabond, which looks like an old VW Beetle. During the game, you can earn money in the races by finishing in at least 3rd place, or by killing all your opponents on the track. You can put that money towards purchasing upgrades for your car, or saving up a bundle and buying yourself a new car. You can also take out a loan from the Loanshark, but you'd better pay it back within three races, or he'll take it out of your hide. There are plenty of other little touches as well, such as the Undergroud Shop, where you can buy weapons for your car, or even sabotage the car of the highest ranking racer in your next race.

If your car or one of theirs is destroyed, it will burst into flame and be out of the race. Prior to a race, the player can also be asked to perform a specific job, either collecting Steroids along the track (and win the race), or eliminating a certain opponent. Some of the opponents have special abilities. Duke Nukem, for example, is the toughest character to beat, and his car in the game will be harder to shoot up than the other vehicles of its level.
