This is a weekend trip I took to Cueva Lucero in the town of Juana Diaz just next to the city of Ponce. Lucero Cave is considered an easy cave to visit and requires no special skills or athletic conditioning. This makes it perfect to explore with your kids provided that your are taken by a guide. This cave is full of cave paintings and is known as the ET cave because some people believe that the native Taino Indians where trying to paint alien beings on the wall. It is the only cave in Puerto Rico with a painting that represents a cave. It also has a painting of an indian baby hidden in remote location inside. It is in priovate property, so you need to ask the owners to let you visit the cave.
