This video was posted at the request of a contractor in the Service Roundtable. He wanted me to share it with others who may be facing tough times today.
During challenging economic times, business owners and leaders must work especially hard to protect their attitudes. As Robert Schuller says, tough times never last, but tough people do.
It appears we are entering an era where we better get tough. While it may seem counter-intuitive, for aggressive companies, this is an opportune time. Aggressive companies make their greatest market share gains during turbulent economies. They take business from complacent competitors who start to retrench over concerns about the economy.
The business leader's challenge is not the competition, but his or her own doubts. Moreover, the leader sets the tone for everyone on the team. Employees become mirrors, reflecting the leader's attitude back at him, to each other, and to the outside world.
To challenge, then, is to keep up your attitude. This short movie will help. It features some of my photography, overlaid with a collection of the greatest motivational quotes of all time set to a haunting melody by composer Kevin MacLeod.
Staying Positive The Movie is less than 10 minutes in length. Play the video when you're in need of a lift. Play it for your staff if they need a boost. Each time you play it, take one quote to heart. See how you can act upon it to improve your attitude and grow your business.
