This is my actual file. I found out about my pregnancy on Year 2, Winter 2; Marlin reminded me when the baby is due; I gave birth on Year 3, Summer 2.
Keep your spouse's heart level at red for one whole season and the pregnancy event will happen.
It was a surprise for me when I found out I got a daughter. I didn't do the "skip 3 season to find out about the gender" thing. I didn't know I could do that. It was too late when I found out. (I was actually hoping for a girl, because in AnWL, I had a boy, you'll know if you have seen my other videos. Niel always kept saying that he wanted a cute little sister, but, of course, I couldn't do that. So this game is a way for me to do that just for him. Plus, my brother is playing AWL, and his son looks just like Marlins's/Celia's child in HMDS/Cute. I didn't want a son, or else I will be tempted to name him David, which is my bro's child. XD)
Before you ask, I took out the selecting the name thing, because my cursor was a Hamtaro one, and I didn't want to put it in the video. lol
Nora is so cute! I wish I can play with her like I did with Niel in AnWL. And it's too bad that Nora can't help me with my farm work. Niel actually watered my plants and fed the animals for me, depending on what he was interested in at the time.
The gender is random and is decided at the wedding. To make sure you get the gender you want, save the day before the marriage ceremony on one file then save the day after the ceremony on the second file. Then sell all their animals and keep going to sleep (staying awake long enough to talk to your spouse to keep him from getting sick or losing AP), then seeing the pregnancy event and birth of the child (all WITHOUT SAVING). If the child is the gender you want, you can reload the second file and play for real, if it's not the gender you want, load the first file and do the marriage ceremony again and repeat with the saving and sleeping.
