CATA - What Small Business Wants From Government

Bookmark and Share
Canadian SMEs are frustrated with the lack of strategic planning by the government as it pertains to economic development and the roles SMEs can play.

Canada has over one million small businesses. They employ the majority of Canadians, however, Statistics Canada has identified that 75% of small business will not exist within 3 years of being started.

Innovation and Canada's economic health starts with SMEs. It is essential the government not just pay lip service to SMEs. Government must demonstrate, their understanding and commitment, through the creation and distribution of a strategic economic development plan.

The plan must identify how the government will work with SMEs to achieve the plan.

CATA has requested CEO's of SMEs to make a 45secs video stating their most important issue (multiple submissions may be made as long as each submission does not exceed 45secs.
