Now I am going to detail seven more types of modeling where height and clothing size are typically NOT a requirement. Remember I am speaking in general terms here. There are always exceptions when it comes to the needs of an individual client.

Commercial Print Modeling-

Commercial Print modeling is also known as "Real People" modeling. There is no age, height, or size requirement in this division. Want to know what a commercial print model looks like? Well browse the advertisements in newspapers and magazines; you will see that all ages, ethnicities, and sizes of people are represented. You will find models looking like doctors, daughters and students all for advertisements like insurance, banking, schools and toothpaste. Many do not realize that these are all professional models as well. A good commercial print model not only works well for the camera but also has an ability to act out different scenarios. For example it is not unusual to go to a commercial print casting and be asked to act as if you have a headache or that you have just been asked to the prom or that you are mad at your boyfriend. The more comfortable you are at expressing different emotions to the camera the more successful you will be in commercial print.

Parts Modeling-

For Parts Modeling- agencies look for models with exceptional parts like great legs, hands, feet, abs, eyes and lips.

Beauty modeling-

Beauty modeling is for cosmetics, beauty supplies and hair products. You should have beautiful clear skin, a great face and luxurious hair. The larger agencies in New York City have separate beauty divisions- especially on-camera commercial agencies. However; smaller agencies probably will not have a separate beauty division and this type of work will be mixed in with their other bookings.

40 plus modeling-

40 plus modeling is also called sophisticate modeling. This is for female and male models that are over 40 and look great! These models are in great shape and serve as examples that age is just a number! Nowadays you can find many advertising companies using models of all ages especially for cosmetic companies that advertise anti-aging creams and so much more.

Fitness Modeling-

Fitness Modeling is for those models that are not only in great shape but train as professional body builders. These models have well defined muscular builds and cater to fitness magazines as well as advertisements for supplements, vitamins, weight loss programs and so on.

Promotional or Trade Show Modeling-

Promotional or Trade Show Modeling can be found most anywhere. Promotional models promote products like Pepsi, Trident Gum or Absolute Vodka... This work can be handing out samples, coupons, tee shirts and so on. It is the least competitive type of modeling and can be found quite easily everywhere.

Trade show modeling takes place at convention halls. This type of work can be found through a promotional modeling agency and can provide a steady flow of work. Many vendors hire models to gather crowds into their booth, hand out flyers or giveaways.

Promotional and Tradeshow modeling is an excellent way to build confidence and strengthen your social skills with clients. It is a great ways to network with other models and earn a steady paycheck between you other modeling work.

This wraps up the different types of modeling.
