at the young age of 19, I opted to never perm/relax my hair again. around that time, I became enlightened with Knowledge of Self.
you couldn't tell me nothing because I was living right and everyone else should be living like I was and believing like I believed. and yes, I became a "Natural Nazi" as Jia would say.
fast forward to 2006, some 14 years later and i saw a hairstyle i wanted to wear, so i got my hair straightened.
I didn't change, my heart, spirit, knowledge, none of that changed. just my hair.
I'm not mad at the sistas on YT for trying to get the masses converted. but some of the things I've heard said on these videos are ridiculous. i say that because i used to say the same thing.
the thing we need to know and understand is just because a sista has a perm/relaxer/weave DOES NOT mean she's any less a Black woman.
