I got started in the network marketing industry of August 2004 and was trained in the old school MLM marketing. For example, I was taught to make a list of 100 family and friends, do the 3 foot rule, wear a button and try to sell everyone my products - all of which I refused to do. So the other option was to buy expensive leads and read a script. While that worked for a while, I soon realized relying on a system to build a business was not a real way to build a business.
