65 Impala For Sale - Super Clean 4 door

Bookmark and Share
This car sold new @ City Motor Company in Great Falls, Montana on January, 12th, 1965 to Roy K. Miller for the sum of $3,338.80. The trunk mounted dealer name plate is still intact on the rear deck lid. I have the original window sticker, Protect-o-plate, owners manual, warranty card and accessories guide that came with the car new. I also have a follow up thank you letter from the dealership sent to Mr. Miller one month later on February 18th, 1965! This is incredible and coveted documentation to have for any 43 year old vehicle. You are looking at a dying breed of Chevrolet. It is getting harder and harder to find original unmolested survivors out there and this is a fine documented example of one. The dash mounted Spot Check placard shows all the service intervals and corresponding mileage dated from 1973.

This car has 84k documented original miles on it and it shows. The cloth interior is absolutely flawless! Not a stitch out of place! The chrome dash components still look like new. All of the chrome plating that is typically worn off and milky white are still shiny and resilient. The dash pad does not have even one crack in it! The door panels are gorgeous. They are not warped or worn, although the drivers rear door panel has four small nicks at the bottom. The headliner has no rips. The chrome window cranks and pull handles still look like new! The window felts, both interior and exterior are soft and resilient. The windows roll up and down effortlessly. All of the factory tinted glass is still intact including the windshield. The wood grain dash accents still look like new too. The original serial numbered ignition and trunk keys still remain with the car.

The car has newer brakes including, master cylinder, drums, brake lines, wheel cylinders, shoes etc. It stops straight and true. The power steering steers effortlessly and two fingers is all you need to parallel park this classic cruiser when your in busy downtown. The car also has newer shocks and a newer dual exhaust system. No cheesy Cherry Bombs or Hot Rod Flowmasters here folks. Original OEM type mufflers were utilized to ensure a mature factory exhaust note just the way The General intended.

The exterior aluminum trim is very very nice! It still has a nice sheen to it, as opposed to the usual white and milky look. Check out that grill. Not one warble or bend! The chrome bumpers still show very well too. (Thats rainwater in the pic) The tailights still have the brilliant red transparency they had when new. The optional stainless Décor Group trim around the windows also shows very well. The original pushbuttom AM radio still works, although there is some RFI coming through the speaker. I did recently break the air cleaner mounting stud from the carb so this will need addressed.

The paint is an older repaint of the original and desirable Artesian Turquoise that is not going to win The Riddler award, although it does show well overall. The door jambs and underside of the trunk lid is factory original paint. It always attracts a crowd when I park it and I always get the thumbs up sign when Im driving it. It is a very solid car with only one teency weency rust spot on the passenger side fender at the bottom. (See pic) That is the worst rust the car has, so as you can see this is a solid and rust free car by todays standards. The trunk and floors are gorgeous. It is painfully obvious that this car has always been garaged or covered, as it is now in my shop. Everything works on the car, turn signals, high beam indicator back-up lamps, license plate light etc. This is a get in and go car worthy to be driven anywhere, anytime. Clear title in hand. If you want more pics, just ask.

If your into Numbers matching cars I have good news and bad news. The bad news is, the second owner overheated the vehicle and thereby rendered the original engine temporarily inoperable. The good news is, I removed the engine had the entire engine hot tanked, magnufluxed and micd. All of the original date coded components are accounted for and rebuildable. No severely damaged parts, its just needs rebuilt. In the interim, I removed a 283 from another 1965 Impala that has the exact same block casting # 3849852 and similar casting dates. It runs awesome and has a new timing chain, rv cam and lifters. It fires up on the first pump of the accelerator and purrs like a newborn kitten and motors down the road nicely. No smoke, no noise no broken promises. The entire #s matching engine will be included with the car if the buyer wants it. The original Powerglide transmission shifts perfect and the often missing or broken kick down linkage is all accounted for and working as designed. The accessory dust shield is still intact too! This piece is virtually always missing. Notice the factory grease pen markings are still on the firewall.
