Joe Banister (former IRS agent) is part of a dying breed - a man of integrity and honor who, despite the personal costs to him and his family, stood by the oath he took to preserve and protect the United States Constitution from all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC.

He is no so-called "crazy tax protesting kook" as the IRS chooses to ridicule anyone who challenges the deceit for which it stands. Joe discusses how he came to realise the truth: that the IRS is operating outside the law, and that the 16th Amendment to the US Constitution (which the IRS claims gives it support to tax US citizens) was never ratified - and thus null and void.
On Thursday, June 23, 2006, a federal jury found former IRS Criminal Investigative Division (CID) Special Agent and CPA Joseph Banister not guilty of all counts alleging criminal tax fraud and conspiracy related to actions he took on behalf of a California business owner who had openly defied the IRS over several years by stopping withholding of all income and employment taxes from the paychecks of his workers.
