Earn money vlogging (talking, on video) about yourself.

Here is an example for which I paid *two* US dollars (twice the normal rate).
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xvcmkPPLAok
note that it is much better than it needs to be in that there are two people, high vision, and a title (all of which are nice but not essential). Its only problem is that it could have been a bit lighter. The difficult thing about video is getting enough light.

I am an English teacher at a Japanese university and I am looking for YouTubers who are interested in creating videos of themselves talking about themselves for cash.

I will provide questions (see) such as
What sort of books do you read?
Where do you usually study?
What sort of music do you listen to when you are sad?

I will pay 1 dollar an answer. I can only pay by paypal or some other cheap online method of sending funds.

I can use ikobo.com (which sends you a prepaid credit card) if you do at least 20 and live in the US or Canada.

You should repeat the question before you say your answer, or include it in titles before you start your answer.

Please pause before each answer. I will be chopping the videos up into segments containing only one answer.

The answers do not have to be the truth, but they should be conceivably true of a student.

Only native speakers of English can apply. American and Canadian accents are best, but BBC English and English-like Australian accents are fine.

Skin colour, ethnicity, and sex is not a problem.

The videos will be used as part of online tests to back up a English conversation textbook for university students. So participants should look a bit like a university student, probably between the ages of 15 and 28.

Participants will be asked to sign online a model release. The model release will give me rights to use the video (image, voice, script) in online education and testing.

Those below 18 will have to get their parents to sign it and fax or scan it and send it to me.

You are welcome to use the video in any way.

Each answer should be made up of two sentences, and each sentence should have two clauses, joined with a "but," "because" or "which," "when." E.g.
Q (provided my me):If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
Answer (you):Ideally I would live on my own island, because I like privacy. It would be great if some friends could live there too, for when I want some company.

You should speak slowly.

You should use only simple words, and avoid colloquial expressions. Ums and Ers should be avoided too.

You should have an external microphone (or an excellent on board microphone) preferably with a stand so it is not in the video.

The video should be of good quality of about lonelygirl15 standard taken with a good webcam or video camera. The videos can be sent to me by email, or if good quality the Youtube videos will do (if that is okay with the YouTube terms and conditions).

The background should either be a WELL LIT "green screen," or a tidy room, or nice view.

You should be WELL LIT, with lots of light on your face. I recommend putting the camera in front of a window and adding a couple of lamps pointing at you. My first video is far too dark.

Your head and shoulders should appear.

You should be fairly neatly dressed. T-shirts and jeans are fine but not dirty clothes.

If you send me the script then I will try to look over it for you but ad lib is fine. If you want to write a script then free teleprompter is available at
http://python.planetmirror.com/ftp/freewarefiles/PodcastAutocue.exe

This is not a contract. I reserve the right to buy only those videos that I want. I may add other advise when I see what Youtubers are submitting.

IF this goes well then I have about 2000 US dollars to spend at most from about 5 Youtubers, so we are talking about at most 400 dollars for 400 answers. Just submitting 10 answers for 10 dollars is fine. There are about 500 questions in total. Email me for a list of questions.

My email address is tim at nihonbunka dot com.

For the demo (if it is good I may ask you to sell me the demo) please send responses to this video in answer to:
What kind of books do you read?
Do you enjoy talking about movies?
What kind of job do you want when you graduate?
Where have you been on vacation?
What do you do to keep fit?
