[Last time, Emma found about the letter and decided to go see Nick and Nick decided he needed to go see Emma]
[At the airport]
Emma-"Hello, I'd like a ticket to Los Angeles, California ASAP."
Lady-"Hmm, let's see. Ahh, the fastest flight we have leaves in 15 minutes. Would you like to purchase a ticket?"
Emma-"Yes, please."
Lady-"Cash or Credit?"
Emma-"Uhh..." [she digs through her pocket and pulls out a credit card which was just for emergencies] "Credit, please." [hands the lady the credit card]
Lady-[she smiles graciously]"Thank you very much. Here you go." [hands Emma the ticket]
Emma-[she smiles back and her hand shakes as she takes the ticket]"Thank you."
Lady-[worried]"Is something wrong?"
Emma-"Um... [she lies] I don't really like flying."
Lady-"Oh, don't worry about it. You'll be okay if you just sleep and you'll be there in no time."
Emma-"Thank you." [she smiles and sits down on a chair and checks her watch: 12: 30 PM]
[With Nick a the airport]
Nick-[he pants heavily from running]"Hi, I'd like ticket to Wyckoff, New Jersey...please."
Lady-"What time?"
Nick-"The fastest time available."
Lady-"Okay, let me check. [she starts to type on the computer and frowns] how soon?"
Nick-"As SOON as possible..PLEASE."
Lady-"Wow, kid, that important?"
Nick-"Yes."
Lady-[she takes a deep breath]"I'm sorry but I think it's gonna have to wait."
Nick-"Why?"
Lady-"The soonest time avaiable to Wyckoff, NJ is in 5 hours."
Nick-"FOUR HOURS?!"
Lady-"I'm really sorry, but it's all packed for some strange reason."
Nick-"Are you sure?"
Lady-"Yup, I'm sorry."
Nick-[he groans and puts his head in his hands]"This is NOT my day."
Lady-[she pats nick on the back] "I'm sorry, hun."
[At the airport with Emma]
Emma-[she starts to board on the plane]
Flight attendant lady-"No luggage?"
Emma-[she shakes her head and takes a seat]
Flight attendant lady-"Would you like anything to eat?"
Emma-"No thank you, maybe later." [she smiles kindly]
Flight attendant lady-"Okay." [she walks off]
Announcer-"Please put your seatbelts on everyone. We're about to lift off."
Emma-[she quickly straps on her seatbelt and looks out the window as the plane slowly inclines upward]"Mom's going to kill me..."
[5 hours later]
Flight attendant lady-[she shakes Emma a bit]"Sweetie, we're here."
Emma-[she rubs her eyes]"In Los Angeles?"
Flight attendant lady-"Mmhmm."
Emma-"Oh, did I fall asleep?"
Flight attendant lady-"Yes, for about 5 hours, now c'mon."
Emma-[she gets up and notices most of the people are gone] "Thank you for waking me up..." [she runs out of the airport]
Flight attendant lady-[she chuckles]
Emma-[out of the plane in the LA airport]"Wow..nice airport. [her stomach grumbles]"Maybe I should eat something..."[she walks to a nearby cafe and stands in the line]
Nick-[he's sitting at the end table of the cafe drinking coffee and eating a sandwich]
Emma-[she groans]"What is taking so long?"
Nick-[he checks his watch and sees it's time to go.]"Finally!" [he starts to run to his entrance]
Emma-[she sees the watch on the person in front of her]"Um, excuse me...why does your clock say it's 2 o'clock?"
Man-"Because it is...."
Emma-"But when I was in New Jersey, I left at 12 so it should be 5 PM..."
Man-[he chuckles]"Young lady, you're in California on the west coast. We're 3 hours behind from the east coast."
Emma-"Oh.." [she turns pink]
Man-"Don't feel embarassed. How old are you?"
Emma-"Um...seventeen."
Man-"Well, I've got a little girl's who that old."
Emma-"Really?" [she smiles]
Man-"Yup, came to visit her."
Emma-"That's nice."
Man-"Mmhmm. Well, I should get going now. Nice meeting you, Emma." [he grabs his cup of coffee and walks off]
Emma-[she smiles at the thought of how kind that man was]
Cashier girl-"May I take your order?..HELLO?"
Emma-"OH..um just this. [she quickly grabs a bottle of orange juice]
Cashier girl-[she rolls her eyes]"Alright. [she scans it]" That'd we 1.89."
Emma-"Um..do you take credit?" [she holds out her credit card emabarassed]
Cashier girl-[she rolls her eyes again and snatches the credit card from Emma's hand] "Here."
Emma-"Thank you... [she takes her Orange juice and frowns at how mean that girl was; she starts to walk around the place when she sees the entrance to the flight for Wyckoff, NJ.] "I hope I can go through that entrance soon too... [she turns her back on it for a second but turns immediately around when she spots a brown, curly-haired boy.] "oh my gosh..."
Nick-[he shows his passport and is just about to walk through the entrance]
Emma-[she realizes it's Nick]"WAIT! NICK!"
Nick-[he turns around to spot who called his name]
