Stand up for the Children!

Sorry If this video is not so entertaining.
and take your time. but you know that their are serious problems out there in the world.

While 15 million young children in developing countries die each year from common childhood diseases that are no longer a threat in the industrialized world, the means to prevent at least half of these deaths, and to improve the lives of many more children, are available, affordable and effective, according to UNICEF's State of the World's Children report for 1984.
Using case histories from 20 countries, the report documents the effectiveness of four techniques which, when incorporated into intensive health campaigns, can achieve drastic gains in children's health in a relatively short time and at a relatively low cost. The four techniques it describes are: * Oral rehydration therapy. The biggest killer of children in the world, responsible for five million child deaths a year, is dehydration caused by ordinary diarrhea. Previously treated only by intravenous feeding, dehydration can now be prevented or cured by giving a child a mixture of salt, sugar and water.

Some 34 countries are producing packets of oral rehydration salts, but effective solutions can be made at home. If parents know how and when to use this method, UNICEF believes that most deaths from dehydration can be prevented. In one Egyptian village, for example, deaths resulting from diarrhea were cut in half following a 3-year campaign on the use of oral rehydration therapy.
