This here is the successor to the famed Nokia N95 - the Nokia N96 slider.

The Nokia N96 is slightly longer than the Nokia N95, but is about the same width and thickness. The Nokia N96 feels lighter in the hand and just feels more finished that its predecessor. With a glossy-black finish, keys are hidden beneath the finish until they illuminate. Sliding the Nokia N96 upwards illuminates the call-keys and keypad, and sliding it downwards reveals the media controls (which illuminate from beneath).

The sliding mechanism is a real joy to use - it's crisp and springy, basically what the Nokia N95's slider should have been. The 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera is what we've come to expect of the Nokia cameras - which is to say, excellent. The DVB-H radio delivers crisp and smooth TV performance and the touch-sensitive navigation pad makes menu navigation fun.
