This is a mini dynamo with an LED flashlight, it's a pretty neat little device, we'll show you how it works and what applications it's good for. This is the actual dynamo itself, and it's a hand crank device so no batteries are needed. To operate it, you charge the batteries inside by cranking the side of it. Initially you want to crank it for about 60 seconds and you'll have a flashlight with three intensity levels. This is level one, two and three. You can also see on the side here, it has a DC output. This is great for charging your cell phones or other small electronic devices. It's mainly designed for cell phones but possibly if you have a connector or a device that uses connectors you could use that too. We'll demonstrate it on a Motorola based phone. To operate it, we take our cord, it plugs in and then we install the end that matches to your phone.
Once you have your phone hooked up, just start cranking it. It's somewhat hard to see, but the indicator on this phone is going from battery to charge. We're not cranking it real hard, we're going at a slow pace. In fact, that's what the instructions tell you. Crank it for about a minute and that will at least get you through your phone call. The cell phone connectors in this unit are for the Motorola, the Razor, Nokia, and Samsung phones. This is a good device to have in your glove box for emergency situations. There you have it for part # WC2378 from Wagon Tech the hand cranked, 5 LED light mini dynamo flashlight with a phone charger.
