If you have forgotten your administrator password, all is not lost. You do not necessarily have to reformat your computer.
This video will show you how you can successfully recover your lost administrator password. The software used in this video is called: OPHcrack. Use this legally, as I will not be held responsible for the misuse of this information, and / or the use of this software.

There is an alternate method where you can boot into Windows XP safe mode, however, some people have trouble getting into it (for whatever reason), and it doesn't work on Vista (Home Basic), so I decided to leave this method out. I may, however, decide to do it at a later date, as XP is still such as popular OS.
I should also point out that this method doesn't always work.
**NOTICE** You may have to do the disc burning step on an alternate PC, if your CD burning software doesn't allow disc burning on a standard user name.
I've noticed ocassionally that if it doesn't recognise a password on the CD drive you're using, to temporarily switch to a different one. So if it doesn't work first time round, try switching CD / DVD drives with a different one.
