My first RC car, built from scratch

Bookmark and Share
I wanted to make something with an 2channel remote control system I had, so this came up as an idea. I originally had the ambition of building a semiscale RC with the motor under the bonnet, a manual gearbox w 4 gears, and other cool features. Of course the skills proved to be limited, still I suceeded with a functioning manual gearbox (it has 3 functional gears, of which 2 were driveable).

This was before I learned of this thing called MiniZ, and appropriate parts were hard to come by.
There's no sound I'm afraid, so you might not find this very entertaining if you're not rc car scratch building enthusiast like me. The gearbox might be worth cheking out though.

And yes I know the mini cooper is fwd, but I couldn't find a better body...
