Break the Chain is an anti-counterfeiting awareness campaign. Our main message "counterfeiting creates a dangerous chain of events" is one that should be heard. The profits of counterfeiting have been linked to funding organized crime, drug trafficking and terrorist activity. Not to mention, counterfeiters do not pay taxes, meaning less money for your city's schools, hospitals, parks and other social programs. Counterfeiters have poor working conditions, and often use forced child labor. Counterfeit items range from designer goods to pharmaceuticals and plane and auto parts. Counterfeiting is illegal and purchasing counterfeit products supports illegal activity. When you purchase a fake or promote the counterfeiting lifestyle, you become part of the chain of counterfeiting and your money directly supports these things you would never want to support.
