Visit Anchorage, the Matanuska Valley, stop by the Alaska State Fair, take the Midnight Sun Express to Fairbanks, ride the "Discovery" sternwheeler paddleboat, pan for gold at the Little Eldorado Mine, and visit the Seismolgy lab of the University of Alaska.
Then further north on the gravel Dalton Highway, past the pipeline, to Coldfoot, the northernmost truck stop in the world, flightseeing over the Brooks Range at midnight, then over the tundra to Prudhoe Bay, the oil fields and the Arctic Ocean.
