Will this lower my credit score or raise it?
I have about 8 credit cards. most have minimul limits ($300) except 2 that I've had for a couple years those are at almost $1000. I plan to keep them. However a few of the lower ones have monthly maintnance fees ($6-$12) I want to cancel these cards I've had them for about 10 months. will canceling them hurt my credit more?
I had very poor credit from when I was young so now I've been trying to fix it, I've raised it up to the poor/fair line (5 more points).
My credit card balances are all very low, but I do have a student loan of ($4000) and two old accounts that are charged off that I am still negotiating.
Any advise
