We are pleased to launch our latest service, a squidoo and hubpage writing service. Both these sites are peforming really well in the search engines at the moment and we think that this service will be really popular.

Squidoo has become a very popular content network site; its strong web presence makes this a great way to promote your website. You can use Squidoo pages as a way of promoting your website regardless of what your site is based around. So what makes a Squidoo lens such a great online marketing opportunity? Anything that helps get your website more traffic and gets more people interested in your business is a great marketing opportunity and a Squidoo lens does exactly this.

You can use a Squidoo lens to add RSS feeds, images and links associated with your website you can also place descriptive and promotional text on it. You can place as much or as little information as desired and best of all you aren’t merely limited to the one lens; you can create several, all of which can promote the same website.

Hubpages is another popular social network site. It gives you the opportunity to get your website more hits and to bring you potential customers and clients. We have been finding it really hard to keep up with all the great articles that our authors send through each day.  But the good news is that our team has expanded with the recruitment of Suzanne, which takes us up to 4 full time editors.

With her help we have cleared the backlog of submissions and emails that was starting to mount up, and the good news is that we are completely up to date as of 25th September.

Our new look Article Alley is almost complete - we have now re-designed our blog and wiki area - its 95% complete just a few more tweaks here and there and we are done.

We are pleased to announce that vs3.0 of Article Alley is now live, there have been a few minor issuing in the upgrade but everything appears to be settling down well.

Found a great new site that I have not seen before - Article Alley is listed on Topsy

Topsy is a new kind of search engine, with a new way of looking at the Internet. Topsy doesn’t think the Internet is a collection of documents. Or even a web of documents. Article Alley now has a page on Wikipedia one the internet’s top sites.  It appears to be pretty accurate but the information is more than several months out of date - we have already passed the 1,000,000 article submission mark.

Users have been asking why our home page appears to be behind the rest of the site, its due to the surge in submissions we have seen over the last month, as of yesterday we doubled the rotation speed in an attempt to bring it back up to date.

Our development team is working on a flexible rotation system that will vary the rotation speed each day based on approved submissions from the previous day - for now please bear with us, we are up to date its just the home page is lagging.

We have started a general tightening up on our editorial guidelines, these will shortly be updated on our site, from now on, there will be a three link limit within articles and we are going to be much more strict on the quality of articles getting through our editorial review, so better grammar, longer articles, more interesting stuff will get through.

Its in response to Google’s more recent moves to improve the quality of search results, we feel the same way and our also cleaning up our database and removing poor quality content, and low page view articles.

Its a long term plan, but will improve the results for our good author and loyal visitors.
